Emergency Fund for Iranian Students in Kansas and Missouri
In recent months, Iranian communities across the world have been living through profound grief and instability. We have witnessed the loss of young lives, the interruption of futures, and the deepening hardship caused by violence, internet shutdowns, economic crisis, inflation, war, and ongoing uncertainty.
For Iranian students in the United States, these crises are not distant. Many continue their education while carrying emotional distress, financial pressure, and concern for loved ones in Iran. Some are struggling because of visa delays or disruptions. Others are facing urgent hardship while trying to remain enrolled, housed, and stable.
This emergency fundraising effort is launched in honor of the students and young people we lost, and in support of those who are still here, still studying, and still trying to move forward.
In this first phase, the fund will support Iranian students residing in Kansas and Missouri. We are currently accepting donations until May 12. Our fundraising goal is $20,000. Once that goal is reached, the student application process will be opened after May 12.
Final eligibility criteria will be announced when the application is released. At this stage, priority is expected to be given to students in urgent financial need, especially those who are in F-1 status, unemployed while on OPT, awaiting OPT, or otherwise directly affected by the current circumstances.
This effort is only a first step. We hope it can become a model for Iranian diaspora communities in other cities and states, while we continue to search for meaningful ways to support students inside Iran as well.

صندوق حمایتی اضطراری برای دانشجویان ایرانی در کانزاس و میزوری
در ماههای اخیر، جامعههای ایرانی در سراسر جهان با اندوه و بیثباتی عمیقی روبهرو بودهاند. ما شاهد از دست رفتن جان جوانان، ناتمام ماندن آیندهها، و گسترش دشواریهایی بودهایم که در پی خشونت، قطع اینترنت، بحران اقتصادی، تورم، جنگ، و نااطمینانی مداوم به وجود آمدهاند.
برای دانشجویان ایرانی ساکن آمریکا، این بحرانها دور و انتزاعی نیستند. بسیاری از آنها در حالی به تحصیل ادامه میدهند که همزمان زیر فشار عاطفی، تنگنای مالی، و نگرانی برای عزیزانشان در ایران هستند. برخی با تأخیر یا اختلال در روند ویزا مواجهاند و برخی دیگر برای حفظ تحصیل، مسکن، و ثبات اولیه زندگی خود با دشواری جدی دستوپنجه نرم میکنند.
این تلاش برای جمعآوری کمک مالی، هم به یاد دانشجویان و جوانانی است که از دست دادیم، و هم برای حمایت از آنهایی که هنوز اینجا هستند، هنوز درس میخوانند، و هنوز برای ادامهدادن تلاش میکنند.
در این مرحله نخست، این صندوق از دانشجویان ایرانی ساکن کانزاس و میزوری حمایت خواهد کرد. ما تا ۱۲ می کمکهای مالی را دریافت میکنیم و هدف ما جمعآوری ۲۰ هزار دلار است. پس از رسیدن به این هدف، فرایند درخواست کمکهزینه برای دانشجویان بعد از ۱۲ مه آغاز خواهد شد.
جزئیات نهایی شرایط دریافت کمکهزینه هنگام انتشار فرم اعلام میشود. در این مرحله، پیشبینی میشود اولویت با دانشجویانی باشد که با نیاز فوری مالی روبهرو هستند، بهویژه کسانی که با ویزای F-1 در آمریکا حضور دارند، در وضعیت OPT بدون شغل هستند، در انتظار OPTبه سر میبرند، یا به شکل مستقیم از شرایط کنونی آسیب دیدهاند.
این حرکت تنها یک گام نخست است. امید داریم که این تجربه بتواند الگویی برای دیگر کامیونیتیهای ایرانی در شهرها و ایالتهای دیگر باشد، و همزمان ما را به یافتن راههایی جدیتر برای حمایت از دانشجویان داخل ایران نزدیکتر کند.
